Mega Infrastructure in Latin America: Investment, Risk & Dispute Resolution

About
Mega Infrastructure in Latin America: Investment, Risk & Dispute Resolution
Latin America’s growing pipeline of major infrastructure projects presents significant opportunities for investors, governments, developers, and contractors—but also complex construction, contractual, regulatory, and political risks.
Using landmark projects across the region as reference points, this program will explore how risk allocation, contract design, dispute prevention, mediation, dispute boards, and international arbitration can help parties navigate the full life cycle of complex infrastructure investments. The discussion will examine what turns a megaproject into a major dispute—and what parties can do from day one to prevent, manage, and resolve those disputes effectively.
Against the backdrop of Miami Arbitration Week, the panel will also explore Miami’s strategic role in Latin America-related disputes and the ICDR’s institutional presence and experience connecting the United States, Latin America, and the international arbitration community.
Mega projects. Mega risks. Smarter dispute strategy.
